dunno how it works, then. maybe you should try older pcsx2 versions and/or latest svn, just i case.
and maybe it could be worth making then a bug report.

Hmm, if he uploads his Save I could test the game on my rig with various PCSX2 versions, since I own that game myself. (Just don't have a Save File for it on PCSX2, and I'm not sure in which area he is, so downloading a Save File from GFAQs would be useless too)
