i am using both .9.6 and the new beta and each keep crashing on me near the beginning. i have tried both versions using different graphic plugins. it says it's playable on the compatibility list, so i don't know if there is something i am missing? any help would be appreciated.

Strange, I can play it perfectly on r1888, try that version.

You need to use the latest beta (revision 1888) and turn on MicroVU0 under the CPU options. The MicroVU option is only available in the latest beta.
