Full Version: God of War1 settings?(sorry if its exist)

Hi everbody...Its my first message in this forum...Anyway...;

I have just found pcsx2 and its really good emu.Thx to makersSmile..I want to play god of war and i have powerful PC.But GOW is runnig so slowSmileI searched on net and so many players who have lower PC then mine they are playing GOW min 40 fps.But mine is max 25fpsSadAlso there are lot of video on youtube as you know...This slowness problem can be settings of pcsx2?Coz there really many settings and i really could not understand which is for whatSmileIs there anyone who has experience about this?

My PC;
Intel Q6600 at 2.4Ghz
Asus P5W DH DELUXE
KINGSTON HYPERX 800MHZ 6GB RAM
HIS ICEQ4 ATI HD 4850 512MB
WIN 7 ULTIMATE 64x
PCSX2 ver0.9.6

What settings?

Try the latest beta and plugins:

I'll tell you. Generally, your PC is powerful, but let me make this clear. Your PC is only powerful while multi-tasking. So if u want to get full fps on GOW, overclock your CPU to at least 3.0GHz or more. Quad is useless if u want to emulate Pcsx2. (Since Pcsx2 only uses 2 cores/2 threads)
Then, use SSE4.1 in GSDx (check native), use SPU2-X for sound plugin, Enable some speedhacks if u must.
I think you are right about clock.But first i need to buy cpu coolerSmileAnother thing is my CPU does not support sse4.Mine supports sse3.So thats why im chosing sse3.I searched about sse on net and intel e series (like e8xxx e7xxx) support sse4...

What kind of CPU cooler ? Do you think u need something like good PSU before you overclock ? And if u are aiming for the best, use the latest beta as ShadowLady said.
