I'm trying to play god of war on pcsx2.
I tried several configurations using pcsx 0.94 (or 0.95, the name of the executable says 0.94, but when I open it, it shows 0.95), pcsx 0.96 and beta 1888.

I tried gsdx 9 (sse2) 0.11.4, gsdx 890 (sse2) 0.1.14 on the official releases
and gsdx 1873 (sse2) 0.1.15 on the beta version of pcsx2.
I can't use ss3 gs plugins, the game says that my processor doesn't support sse3.01 but I'm quite sure that sse3 instructions are supported

I don't even know where to download other gs plugins to try.

I've got a 2.8 GHz Pentium D, 2GB of RAM, an ATI Radeon X1600 and run Windows 7.

the average in-game fps is about 27-28, and the CPU usage is always under 10% (even when I run bios (no disc) I see bad animations)
thqt's an old cpu you have, which is kinda weak for pcsx2.

You GPU isn't fantastic either
Use latest plugins pack (read the stickies) and r1888 beta
Set gsdx internal res to native and use some speedhacks.
But don't expect any miracle as God of War is quite intensive
