I want to try emulating ps2 games, will my computer do good?

yes but,amd cpu's are a bit slower on pcsx2 than intel's some times its alot slower,also if ur ram is fast enough and ur motherboard is good,overclock it
its more imp to have good ram than a lot of ram,when u OC,and for pcsx2 u need to OC to play some games at full speed
Depends on the games you want to try, but for most of them you should be OK.

well as shadow lady said u will probably be ok
if u know or can learn how to overclock u can raise the cpu easy to 3,4 and u will see better results! but be careful!
u see the emulator likes raw clock speed!
that's for intel cpu's but still it can be useful!

We have the same CPU family and I say you're rig would handle most of the PS2 games nicely. I suggest you OC that baby, they're a breeze to OC even on stock cooling. Got my X2 240 running on 2.8-3.2 ghz stable reaching 50 degrees max on full load all on stock. You could reach 3.4-3.6 easy.
That CPU could run even Shadow of the Colossus on full speed. I was able to finish it on 0.9.7
i suggest overclock as much as u want if u dont raise the standard volts (u can usually see the factory standard volts as the VID in many programs) and by being able to run 1-2 hours ΟΦ prime95 without any errors (some say more hours, 2 hours works good for me) and keeping the temps below 70c (60c and lower suggested for long and happy life of cpu!). if u overvoltage the cpu and pass the 60c mark by allot (like 70-80 when u run prime95) u reduce the life of your cpu, how much u reduce it depends on the quality of your cpu (luck is important factor here lolz) how high temps and volts u have!in general most nowdays cpu's will take 600-800 more mhz on the standard volts! so overclocking is a good and safe thing if u know what u are doing
(be sure to keep ram on the default volts or it may die! [DO NOT SET VOLTS TO AUTO CAUSE BIOS TENDS TO USE MORE THAN WHAT IS NEEDED!])
ps: i know this is a big post but for cpu overclocking u usually need 100times more than this one lolz!
Yeah to be safe dont mess with the voltages. You could squeeze out an extra 400-600mhz out of that X2 250 of yours without really messing with them. I did mine with stock volts.
