I'm sure there's a simple fix for this or some silly thing that I'm just missing. First of all Tri-ace gamefix is enabled (works fine with SO3 and Radiata Stories) but for some strange reason I get a black screen when trying to execute VP2.
I'm using the new 0.9.7 with default plugins and other options default as well.

It worked just fine back with r1888 but now I only get a blackscreen, doesn't show intro, music anything. Just stays like this:

Any way to get this game working? Is it a known bug? Do i need to punch my computer to get VP2 running now?

Yeah there is a bug in our internal ISO reader, we are aware and will be hopefully fixed soon. For now, set CDVD to plugin and run it using Linuz ISO

I tried it with booting the ISO or the Linuz Iso Plugin but either way the emulator just crashes before I even receive anything on screen.

When I select close programm I get another "stopped working" message and this time it says something about w32pthreads.v4.dll

Enable the Tri-Ace gamefix (Gamefixes page of Configuration), or enable patches (System menu). Crash will go away.

Sir I got A different problem this goes after the game starts and your first encounter with an enemy.
The screen goes black and reading disc shows up then nothing happens
i am using a ps2 disk to play do i need to make it an iso file for it not to hang up on me?
Try other cdvd plugins but yeah making an ISO is recommended either way.
