First of all, I am no uberleet computer haxor, and I have only a basic understanding of computers and PCSX2.

Recently I got MGS3, now I don't have a PS2, so I of course looked up this emulation for help. I got the program and after various trials and errors, I finally got the game working without an error message or the program crashing. But then, nothing happens. A window pops up (which with the power of logic I determined was where the gameplay was supposed to be), and there is just a black screen. No sound, no video, nothing.

So, forum, is there any way for me to fix this problem?

Configurations:

Graphics: GSdx 890 (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.14

Cdvdrom: Linuz Iso CDVD 0.9.0

USB: USBnull Driver 0.5.0

All plugin tests are successful, reporting that they should work properly.

I am using PCSX2 0.9.6.

You need to own a PS2 where to get the BIOS from so you can use PCSX2 legally.
