Full Version: [Bug Report] FFX 0.9.7 linux intro segfault
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
Running FFX PAL in the latest beta release on Linux. The game starts up allright, but the emu segfaults in the game's intro a few seconds after it switches to the 3D scene. All speed hacks are disabled.

Tried it with both the recompiles and the interpreter, same crash, same place. Tested a few clamping options, same problem.

With the SPU2-x plugin, the audio freezes and the emu crashes in the same place, with ZeroSPU2 it crashes instantly, null driver behaves the same as SPU2-x.

Q6600
Nvidia GeForce 7600GS (latest proprietary driver)
Arch Linux

Attempted to compile latest SVN, but its failing on:

Code:
/home/a/Downloads/pcsx2-svn/src/pcsx2-build/pcsx2/FiFo.cpp: In function ‘void ReadFIFO_VIF1(mem128_t*)’:
/home/a/Downloads/pcsx2-svn/src/pcsx2-build/pcsx2/FiFo.cpp:56:18: error: cannot convert ‘mem128_t*’ to ‘u64*’ in argument passing

EDIT:

2d seems to be fine, menus are stable. The emulator is consistently crashing aproximatly 10 seconds after switching into 3D display, does this in the intro, new game intro and after loading a save game.
Hum can you test a revision before the 3741 (the 3741 is a little broken for the moment). Just do svn up -r 3740 to restore a better revision

A possible issue is the nvidia drivers. I had similar crash with AMD drivers since the last 4 drivers release.
Thanks a lot for the advice, compiled rev 3741 and so far its working perfectly, no crashes.
Thank you for your report.
