Hi,
I just finished God of War with 0.97.3113 and gsdx 3623 without any issue. I convert my old God of War 2 DvD to ISO and now trying to play it with the same pcsx2 setting. when i start the game, it's take me to Menu screen. Once i select New Game, it's play a cutscene, after the cutscene, which ends when Kratos shrinking to normal mortal size. Once the cutscene over.... i got black screen....

My PC:
Core 2 Duo E6300 (1.86)
GTS 250
2 GB Ram

Plugins:
PCSX 2 0.97, 3113
GSDX 3623
SPX2
Lilly DvD
Also tried default DvD (Iso) plugin

I also tried this game on older version (i.e. PCSX 2 Feb 2009 release) and 1059 release, the game got the same issue, stuck after first cutscene.

Can you guys help me what i am doing wrong?

AFAIK, this game has many problems with custcenes.
Did you try to skip it ?

How to skip the cutscene? in PCSX 2 0.97, there is no option to skip it

if its unskippable you could try the "skip mpeg" fix.

its somewhere in config -> gamfixes

It's not there in PCSX 2 0.97.

I saw it in 0.96 but when i press 'Esc' the game closed

damn, you're right, its not in the beta

but its in the latest snvs.

i'm afraid i'm not allowed to post any link, you have to find it /compile it for yourself.

oh no... that's not possible for me... No idea how to do it.

is there any old version of pcsx 0.97 beta which have that option?

its from dvd maybe a save might work get it from game faqs then use my mc to put it into pcsx2 memory card

bositman told me that god of war 2 video are fine if it origonal (which i bet)
