guys just wondering............when configuring the emuator cant find bios rom.well i read in the installer that requires a legal copy of pc2 bios.what does it means??? its a emulator for pc...

Well,you have to have PS2 and dump bios from there.Otherwise it's illegal.

illegal is evil. otherwise its weird that you have to own a "hacked" ps2 to dump the bios.

isnt the "hack" already illegal?

or is possible to dump it with (another "must have" to dump the bios ) the network interface without using a "hacked" ps2?

simple question: is it possible to dump your bios WITHOUT a "hacked" ps2 and/ or WITHOUT the network adapter?

You don't need to 'hack' it, just use swap magic or the memory card exploit which AFAIK do not need a mod chip either. And no the dumper is perfectly legal since it just dumps data from your PS2.

so using swap magic / something like that or using the memcard exploit (yes, it doesnt need a chipped ps2, but it needs a chipped ps2 to use the exploit to create that special memcard afaik) to run homebrew on your ps2 is fully legal? thanks for clearing that up, i thought its some kind of "gray area"-thing.

Yeah, the only thing gray area is a mod chip, rest is 100% legal. Although mod chips are legal in most countries and the majority of the rest do not judge it as illegal (but gray area)
