After the Blitzball CG at the beginning of the game, when I meet with Auron and he says "Look", the game will hang.

The video will freeze, but the background music continues.

I've seen threads claiming changing the EE and VU clamp settings fixes hanging issues for FFX, but it didn't for me.

I have speedhacks disabled and the only gamefix I have on is the FFX one.

I'm running the 3876 beta version.

I have
Core i7 @ 2.8 GHz
ATI Radeon HD Mobility 5870 1 GB GDDR5
6 GB DDR3 RAM

Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this?

Are you playing from a disc or an iso?

re-dump your original disc w/ IMGburn then try again.....same settings..same configuration.

I'm playing from an ISO.

I just tried redumping, but no luck. Still hangs at the same spot.

EDIT: Just tried playing from the disc itself, no luck there either.

Try enabling the Skip MPEG hack and see if that allows you to get past that part.

try use CDVDolio plug-in....

I attempted disc playback with CDVDolio and the Skip MPEG, nothing still.

It may be that my disc is in poor condition. I'm going to take a rip from my room mates disc, and see if that works any better.
