Whenever I play a game and there is text or 2D graphics, I get these weird lines around the text/graphics. Is there any way to get rid of them other than playing in software mode?

use native res

Scaling (x2, x3, etc) might also get rid of those, and with better resolution (if your GPU is good enough).

FFX uses an extremely annoying system for its text.
It doesn't scale well at all, unfortunately.
