The thing is I was playing DBZ Infinite World on the official beta r3876(m)
when I noticed that pcsx2 was hanging like the screen hangs for 1-2 seconds after every 2-3seconds.This makes gameplay real hard and is sincerely annoying me ALOT.
Oh and I cannot post screenshots so I am posting my Gsdx settings here:
Texture Filtering=> Checked
8-bit Textures=> Un-checked
Using 1x Internal d3d resolution=>1900x1080
Also tried 2048x2048

Fps is what you might call *slow* =>23-25
But still according to my experiences the game's not supposed to hang just be irritably slow.
Any help will be appreciatedHappy
Try using native resolution, because that game is very GPU demanding. Also disable 8-bit textures. Then tell us the differences.
you cant use massive resolutions on a graphics card with 512mb of memory, it just wont have it. the resolution you are trying requires at least 1Gig of memory on the graphics card. Try to stick to 1024x1280 or below if you can, even that might be a little slow, but will like better than the original ps2. Possibly use the anti aliasing options to counteract the lower res a bit.
You know the game's native resolution stinks.............on ice dont you masterotaku? And 8-bit textures are disabled already.
@refracton:
Thanks man that explains so much I will test it rightnow and then edit this post. :>

EDITOhmyk so I set the resolution to 1024x1280 as you suggested but still the hhanging/freezing problem was there then I lowered it to 1024x1024 and it's working great thank you refraction.Oh and this is sorta off-topic but I wanted to know if I oc'ed my card from the bios would it give any performance increase?
overclocking your gpu would help if you can control heat, but why do it from bios?, just use catalyst panel and ati overdrive option, i did some testing overclocking my dual gpus just to see how much extra flps i can squeeze out and it worked great for me, no reason to mess with bios.
K.Was just curious about that overclocking from bios thing cuz I use Overdrive almost all the time thought it was something different Smile
Speedy42, can u tell me your cpu temps at idle, while playing cpu demanding pc games, and max ever like when running prime 95, im just curious because youre running a decent clock. also is it stable @3.25 ghz (it should be) and do you keep it like that permanently.
My temps are very low cuz it's winter rightnow anyways.
Idle:
1)Core 0=35C
2)Core 1=30C
When at full load:
1)Core 0=55C
2)Core 1=52C

It is a stable clock upto 3.52Ghz after that Windows doesn't startup(Maybe too much load ? o_0)
No I don't keep it like that permanently it depends on what I like at that time.Rightnow it's at 3.0Ghz with FSB 300Mhz and Multiplier 10x.Next time maybe 8xMultiplier and @3.2Ghz with FSB 400Mhz Smile

Edit:Almost forgot while playing cpu games temps are like 40-47C

And for you after 3.52 ghz windows doesnt startup because you reached the point when u need to raise voltage a bit, this happens to i7 920 around 3.8 ghz, i reached 3.5 ghz just by changing front bus from 133>>175, 133x20=2.66(stock) 175x20=3.5
did you use prime95 ? its the best program to test if overclock is stable, u run it for few hours and it will tell you if theres any errors and i guarantee it will push your max temps higher than 55C.
I keep my clock @ 3.5 ghz all the time (at least for winter), because my idle temps are like yours, my highest ever for pc game 54C and my highest ever while running prime95 was 72C which is low for i7 @ 3.5ghz, if you download prime95, its free also get realtemp its good program to monitor temps.
Ai Ai cap'n Wink.

Edit:
After not downloading prime95 I just opened Dolphin PCSX2 and COD4:MW all at the same time and the temps were: Core0=85C
Core1=80C
