I'm trying to find the correct settings for .hack rebirth for my pc... and PCSX2 has changed so much since I last used it I don't know what I'm doing.

I'm using the latest beta r3878 I believe, and here are my computer specs.

Phenom II X4 945
4GB DDR2-800
Radeon HD6850

(my cpu is in an AM2/AM2+ motherboard, so it's not QUITE as fast but decent)

I was hoping to be able to use my CPU entirely for PCSX2 as anyone who plays the .hack games knows the shadows disappear when you use hardware mode and your gpu. What are everyone's suggestions?

anyone? helpzorz? I remember having to turn on a special core hack or something microvu2? before when I played .hack, but I can't find it now... anyone help? would linux version run any better?

You can try using a software renderer in GSdx and set the SW.Threads to 2-3 if you want to use more cores.
