I know that this has been written about all over the forum and I have read some of what has already been written, but I still don't know how to get started.

How do I access and make changes to patches. Is there a place the forum that discusses implementing patches with regard to the newest beta?

What do you mean exactly? Patches as in the pnach system to change a value in address in games? Then you should take a look here:

So I have never used a patch before.

I'm not sure how to access the pnach file I have seen in certain places on the forums that you need to download a program for that.
