Hi
I'm trying to use pcsx2 on my pc and I'm having some trouble.
First - my machine:
i3 @ 3.07ghz
ati radeon hd 5770 800mhz
4gb ram ddr3 800mhz

I use win xp sp3 32bit and ubuntu 10.10 64bit

On ubuntu I got stuck in configuration, and never actually ran the emulator Tongue2
On win, I'm trying to play god of war
With the zeros plugin, I get this (image on the end)
With the GSdx (SSSE3) it runs, but there is always a "screen" present in +- mid screen thats sometimes is semi-transparent but other times blocks the view completly
Also, it doesn't run very fast (with the GSdx, the only one that runs), which I find odd since my machine runs games like UT3 in max

If it's better to use ubuntu, it's even better

Thanks in advance...
Could you give some screenshots of your settings(GS settings, speedhacks, game fixes) etc Looks like a funky option is afoot Tongue.
the pc,you have a really great spec.well,im happy if you note some of this:
-bios version = some of the bios will not show great compactibility (i think ver 1.0,the earliest on fat ps2)
-boot with default setting = turn off all speedhacks, fixes. have you?

btw...great system,why not on windows 7? = windows 7 have dx 10/11 support,which can fully utilize the hd5770.
Yes with windows7, DX11 plugin SSE4.1 you should get full speeds in most games

Loads of screenshots for you to happly lose your time with my prob xD
Why not win7? I simply rather the xp, I hate the way win vista and 7 treat you like a retard that doesn't know ***** of what you are doing. And most time I just use Ubuntu, and changing SO is just to much trouble... Tongue2
Oh, and I have gamebooster to speed even more
I forgot to say that I've already tried some options, but started with the default ones. The ones on the screenshot are the last try
Uncheck all your speedhack. Switch to GSDX. If you insist on using ZeroGS, at least take off x16 antialiasing. Click flush to zero in both spots in the options pane. And turn off the compatibility hacks in ZeroGS for games that don't use them (though you shouldn't use that plugin anyway). And upgrade to the latest beta. Then you should be good to go.
Been there, got this with GSdx

See that screen? sometimes it's bearable, sometimes it block view completly.

Going to try with zeros
besides, it was rather slow (40 fps? really????)

here's with zeros
Yeiiiii!!!! nothing...
Switch to beta 0.9.7 and use the GSdx (and all other plugins) that package includes. The bugs you get there have been fixed with it

Nothing you won't be able to figure out yourself after reading the extensive configuration guide found in this forum
