I have finally got this to work, but the words do not show (for the menu) as well as most of the detail. I cannot use GSDX(it does not work at all, you hear things but you cant see). i have to use zeroGS. does anyone have a fix?

Try updating your DirectX for the GSdx problem, the problems you mention could be only ZeroGS related and I suggest you get GSdx working anyway:
