Hi,
My PC is
Intel Q6600 not OC
2x1GB 1066MHz
GTX 260 core 216
Asus P5Q SE (P45)

And tekken 5 runs slower on machine than my roommates on the same config, how come?

His PC is:
Intel E8200 not OC
2x1GB 800MHz
GTS 250
Asus P5K (P35)

I think my PC is a little bit faster. I'm not sure about CPU though. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention- we're both using beta and gsdx .16 (SSSE3). Oh and I'm using W7, and he's using XP. Maybe that makes difference? He can run only in DX9 mode, but it runs faster than on my PC in both DX9 and DX10 mode.
what are the clockspeeds of those cpu's ?

Q6600 is Conroe based (65nm) and running on 2,4GHz (9x266), 2x128kB L1 cache, 8192kB L2 cache.
E8200 is Wolfdale based (45nm) and running on 2,66GHz (8x333), 6144 kB L2 cache.

The question is whether PCSX2 takes advantage of the 2 extra cores I have. If it doesn't- that's probably the reason.
then you have your answer.

knowing that pcsx2 uses only 2 cores, the E8200 clockspeed is better than the Q6600

Well I hope that's it. Gonna try OC. Strange thing is that it shows half a load on 2 cores, and something aroung 1/4 load on the other 2 cores.
EDIT:
You were right. Seems that PCSX2 is extremely CPU dependant. I OC'd to 2,7GHz and now I have 100% speed (had some slowdowns w/o OC).
Topic can be closed I think.
Shoot I just read FAQ. Everything's there. Sorry for the useless topic Wink
