The game plays fine until I actually get to the part where I try and play the game. I navigate menus in the beginning, then try and join The World, and I get this error in XQuartz:

Offset 0x2900000 invalid. Legit SIGSEGV. Aborting.
pcsx2.sh: line 2: 921 Segmentation fault ./pcsx2

It just freezes at the loading screen and then crashes. Settings:
Interlace: Off
1280x960 Wide Screen
Other graphics options off
Sound uses Real Time mode, that's all
Using a PS3 controller via Bluetooth
BIOS is USA v01.60
Didn't touch other settings

Hm, does it work if you use keyboard instead of controller? I remember there were issues on snow leopard with this
would bios USA v2.0 make a difference?

Nope, that's just a small file, almost like a .txt file, telling the PS2 how to behave when starting up. It doesn't affect gameplay.

any update on if this is working now? I have been trying all kinds of variations with 0.9.6 and still can only get to where I start actual gameplay in "The WORLD"
