Hi so I am running windows 7 64 bit and can play persona 4 at reasonable speeds, but my MacBook runs pretty hot. I was wondering if anyone hear knows a safe temperature for the MacBook to run pcsx2 at with out causing damage to the processors or mother board? Thanks !!

i dont have mac but for most computers its best to keep it below 50C
i run pcsx2 at 55C
I don't have a Mac either, but I know that my computer's 100% stable under 70°C (even OC'd).
stable but not save.Too hot will cause computer to "broke down" faster
intel i5 mobile should do just fine for any temp below 100 (though it's alarming), tjmax for i5 mobile (i assume first gen, since i don't know whether apple already release sandy bridge mac) is 105 degree.
but better keep you cpu below arround 70-75 max when using full load on all cpu.
xHackell: can't disagree on that. But I guess there's no help for this AMD. When I had this PC brand new, with stock cooler and stock clock speed, the temperatres went like 80 centigrades high
Now I have Cooler Master 2 with two fans and the side of the case undecked (the cooler is too damn huge) - and the idle temperature never goes under, say, 36 degrees. And between 60 and 70 with the load.
i thought tat 50C was quite high...
btw im running my cpu at 60C overcloaked e2200 to 2.6Ghz

With a macbook pro, the fans cool by shooting air in and out of the rear of the machine (where the screen connects with the computer). Keep your computer off of couches and other form-fitting surfaces. Another thing I do to cool it down is keep the rear of the machine higher off the ground (you can do this by placing a couple books on the sides of the machine) to allow more air flow underneath the machine, since the bottom rear is the hottest. The way macbook pros are made is that they are really close to the ground, which is a cool design but can hinder the cooling effect of the computer's fans.
You can get a widget to constantly monitor the temp of your machine (which you might already have) and just make sure that your "enclosure bottom" does not go past 100-105ºF (about 40º celcius). That's what I do and I have run PCSX2 for a few months now with no worries.
And when it all comes down to it, I wouldn't even worry about it because the computer will automatically shut down if it senses that it is reaching a higher than safe operating temperature.
