[attachment=29660]I am having trouble loading a game. I skipped the video and it seems to load fine but for some reason I don't think it is registering either my memory cards or my pad. I have formatted the memory cards and I can't figure out why my controller wouldn't work. I have checked the games compatibility. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

What an interesting file name -

Well, what size are the memory cards you are using? Unless they are 8mb, the game might freeze. I can get into the game using the "Skip MPEG" hack on r4600 and a regular-sized memory card.

As for your pad - have you made sure to configure it in Lilypad first? Have you checked that it works while trying to navigate your BIOS or in another game?

Edit: Of course, I am using the NTSC version. Compatibility may change between regions.

Edit2: Seems that is the very first screen in the game, even before the game-freezing video; your pad is probably incorrectly attached or incorrectly configurated. Try using the "Test Device" in LilyPad to see if it responds to your controller.

Edit3: By the way, when you get to the game-freezing video, the console will repeat the message "IPU1 Normal error!"! - as I said before, you can fix this by going into "Config>Emulation Settings>Gamefixes" and enabling the Skip MPEG hack.
I did configure my pad and it does work to navigate the bios. I formatted the memory cards and in the bios they say 8mb and 16mb. A friend let me try the NTSC version and it does the same thing. I am still at a loss as to the reason for the freeze. Thanks for your suggestions though.
Well, I tried it with a 32mb card, and the game still gets past that point - in fact, that's not even a memcard check, it seems - just a notification that the game uses a crapload of your memory card space.

Can you use your controller in other games you try?
