Wow thank you so much Scarlet this is exactly what I was after! I'll try this out and share the result!
Greetings everyone,
I have a problem downloading the latest version. For the first few seconds, I download normally, then it cuts off suddenly at random times. I could only download up to 4-5mb before it cuts off. If someone could upload it somewhere else, it would be appreciated.
Thank you very much,

It looks like you maybe having the same issue that Ocitda reported - ScpService unable to start, caused by security permissions on the install directory.

Can you check the permissions on the "C:\Program Files\Controle" directory for the SYSTEM account. In Explorer, right-click on the directory, select Properties, select the Security tab, select SYSTEM in the names list. [see screenshot]

Edit : attached the screenshot ...

I check the permission for the System, but it doesn't seem to take effect. When open the security tab again after checking the System and pressing OK, the one that is selected is another account. I tried in every possible way to give permissions to this account or make another account with permissions with total control the owner of the folder, but nothing worked. When I try to start the service on Administrative Tools, I keep getting that message

I also tried restarting the PC ass Ocitda suggested and then start the service. No luck
Hey Scarlet.Crush!

I just stumbled uppon your software, coming from an inefective and messy Motioninjoy install.
After installing the 1.0.0.103 release, with no results pairing the DS3 to my Dell's internal Bluetooth, I decided to have a quick look at the forums and concluded my device is not suported.

My device's Hardware ID is USB\VID_413C&PID_8197. Is there anyway you can help me install the drivers please?

Thanks
@Muguetsu: please follow these instructions -

1. Run ScpDriver.exe, click Uninstall, click Exit.
2. Delete the directory "C:\Program Files\Controle".
3. Download and install 7zip [http://www.7-zip.org/download.html]
4. Launch Explorer as Administrator. [screenshot 1]
5. Browse to "C:\Program Files", create a New Folder and name it "Scarlet.Crush Productions". [screenshot 2].
6. Browse to "C:\", create a New Folder and name it "Temp".
7. Copy "SCP-DS3-Driver-Package-1.0.0.103.7z" to "C:\Temp".
8. Right-click on SCP-DS3-Driver-Package-1.0.0.103.7z, select 7-Zip -> Extract Here. [screenshot 3]

@meep.o.matic: added an update for your hardware id, see Post #1.
Scarlet.Crush, Thank you for the useful information. I asked my brother for his blue DS3 that has rev "A1" after model number and I was able to see what you were talking about. My both DS3s are apparently non-REV.

I tested SCP with BTH rumble timing @16ms then @125ms with "A1" DS3 and found 16ms to be better at rumble than 125ms.

Weird... My non-REV DS3s did better at vibration with MiJ... unless 16ms is actually too low for non-REVs? You could try lower milliseconds from 125ms to as low as non-REV can accept before it decide to rumble like a retard!
@Fox: 125ms was chosen as a "best compromise" while testing with my non-REV DS3. Any lower and it would drop rumble request packets - either missing rumble effects or not turning them off, occasionally it would reset itself.

I was thinking of adding an Advanced option to allow manual tuning of the timer for next release.

Did everything exactly as you said. This time, when I try to star it through Amdnistrative tools, it pops the message:

"Windows couldn't start the service SCP DS3 service in local Computer.

Error 1053: the service didn't respond to the starting or controlling requisition in due time."

I don't know if the translation is accurate. I don't know if "due" is the proper word. I think that "able" would fit in too.

I also tried to execute the ScpService. It loads for a time, but then nothing happens

Anyway, here are the logs:
I just wanted to say, thank you. This works so much better than motioninjoy, which, in the past week, has given me 3 bsods, not to mention all the spam.

Things this does better than its alternatives:

One-time setup
No program constantly running in the background
Recognizes each button as what it is (IE, Trigger Right instead of Button 10)

Thanks a ton!
Scarlet.Crush.

This is the first time I've tried to use a controller for PC play. I'm running on a Windows 8 system, 64bit (however I run a number of 32bit programs, with no difficulties), with full administrator privileges. I downloaded the zipped files, and unzipped them to the C:/ drive, which I then cut/pasted, moving them to C:/Program Files (x86)/Scarlet.Crush Productions. Once there, I uninstalled then installed all of the drivers (EDIT: I used the SCPDriver.exe), and could then see my DS3 Sixaxis Playstation 3 controller in the devices menu. I then went to the properties to try and test it, and could bring up the proper menu, but none of my input was detected.

Undeterred, I went to try it in a couple of games (Loadout and Super Monday Night Combat, to be exact) but it didn't work in either game. Did I do something wrong? I'd like to be able to play with a controller, especially since I've played most games on the console and am much more used to a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard.

On the controller itself, the "Player" lights, which indicate which player position the controller's in, Is flashing constantly, all four lights. My PS3 is not on, and it is connected to my computer using the forward facing USB ports, I'm not sure if they're USB 2 or 3, and I'm using the USB cord that came with the system upon purchase.

I understand you have a busy life, but any help would be greatly appreciated ^_^
