Yes, it is possible. I have one cheap dongle dedicated for DS3 drivers and second built-in laptop bluetooth for normal bluetooth devices.
It is best when one of your bluetooths is already taken over when you connect second bluetooth device for normal bluetooth devices (at least I did it like this). Then Windows will recognize your new bluetooth as a new one. If you connect two bluetooths simultaneously, one of them will be unusable, windows will only be able to use/install drivers to one of them.

I'm not sure if that's possible with current SCP release... Hopefully the next SCP release will allow you to select bluetooth(s) to (dis)use for SCP. MotioninJoy was able to do this... But right now uninstalling SCP from bluetooth devices won't feel like time consuming when you have a very big habit of un/installing drivers in Devices and Printers window, just like I do.

Do you have another PC/Laptop on which you can install a driver? If so you can pair it using the ScpPair tool [included in the SCP-DS3-Driver-Package-1.0.0.103-Tools.7z on Post #1]
1. On your HTPC, open ScpDriver.log. Your BTH MAC Address will be listed after -- Master.
2. On your PC/Laptop - Plugin your DS3 to USB.
3. Run ScpDriver.exe, uncheck Configure Service and Bluetooth Driver, click Install.
4. Extract the Tools archive and copy ScpPair.exe to the same directory you ran ScpDriver from. [It uses ScpControl.dll - so must be in same directory]
5. Run ScpPair.exe.
6. Enter the MAC Address you obtained from Step 1 and click Set.
7. DS3 is now paired to your HTPCs Bluetooth Dongle.
8. Close ScpPair.
9. Test on your HTPC.
You can Uninstall the driver from your PC/Laptop after completing the above.
Hey that's pretty cool I will try it. Also looking into an alternative method of have a usb port in the side of my TV stand or something where controller will stay plugged in all the time thus always pair.
Thanks for this program..working great
After pairing it once you won't have to re-pair it unless your are one of the unlucky few where it drops the bluethooth for no apparent reason and you have to completely uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them to repair your device.
Most of the time I can just hit the playstation button on the DS3 and have it auto connect to the BTH dongle on my pc after pairing it up unless it doesnt pair then I have to reinstall the drivers completely from scratch wich is several times a week and its annoying but hopefully you wont have to go through that headache.
Thank you Scarlet for your great work! The driver works immediately and without the bloatstuff from MIJ... love it!
*edit Had posted an ID here - but it was already in here.
The bluetooth works fine as well. GREAT GREAT GREAT!
Thanks you for your effort!

Doesn't seem to be working for me, however both bluetooth dongles are identical (chipset, manufacturer etc) - could that be what the problem is?
First of All, thank you very much for your awesome job Scarlet. However, i can't get my BT adapter to work with DS3. The id is USB\VID_0BDA&PID_8723&REV_0200. I can't pair it with the pair tool, and on the monitor it says Host Device: Disconnected. What can i do to get it to work? Thank you very much in advance

I am not sure about this - I think Scarlet will give you the answer about this.
I can say that it is possible with no effort so that you dedicate one dongle for SCP and use another bluetooh for 'normal' bluetooth devices. SCP driver has nothing to do with it - it just takes one BT for its own DS3 usage and that's it. Here is how I did it:
1. I have built-in laptop bluetooth adapter (USB\VID_0930&PID_0214) and I bought cheap USB dongle (USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2154) dedicated for SCP drivers.
2. Before installing SCP drivers I uninstalled drivers for built-in bluetooth.
3. Bluetooth USB dongle was plugged in and Windows installed bluetooth drivers automatically.
4. I installed SCP drivers and bluetooth dongle was then taken over.
5. Now I installed back drivers for built-in laptop bluetooth and that's it - to conclude, USB dongle is taken over (I plug it whenever I need DS3) and built-in bluetooth is used for normal BT devices. Both work at the same with no problems.
In my opinion it should work in spite of bluetooths having same chpsets, etc.

Please check first page of this topic and look at "Currently Supported Dongles" - there is no ID with your device. Just wait for Scarlet to add your ID. Then you will install drivers again, your bluetooth is going to be taken over and when you unplug DS3 from USB after installing drivers it will be paired with BT automatically. That's it

Oh thank you very much for the fast answer. So it is not a problema regarding instalation, nice
Then i'll just wait for Scarlet support on this.
Thank you very much

Yes it's possible: I do that exact thing. I have two Asus BT-211 bluetooth adapters in the same system, one for the DS3, and one for bluetooth. Here's what I do. With the BT-211, the SCP drivers take priority over the Asus drivers: you plug it in and it installs the SCP drivers instead of the original bluetooth drivers. So, when you have two devices with the SCP drivers, go to the device manager, select one of them (BTH DS3 Device), and right click it and hit properties. Go to the Driver tab > click "Update Driver" > "Browse for driver software on your computer", "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" > and then select the original bluetooth driver (for me, Atheros AR3011). And that's it, bluetooth is back.
