I installed Scarlet Crush (Thanks a million, by the way. Motioninjoy stunk.) and I'm able to use my DS3 just fine via USB. However, when I try to connect via BT, I'm running into some problems. I'm hoping that you can provide some guidance.
I'm running WIN 8.1 and though I have an internal BT adapter, I've purchased a Rocketfish external USB adapter. I disabled my internal, installed the external and allowed Windows to install the drivers.
When I go to pair the device through the WIN 8.1 tool, it shows the DS3 and even allows me to pair and "connect" very briefly. Unfortunately the BT connection (if it's actually connected) drops very fast. I'm unable to test if the BT connection works because it drops too quickly.
Everything else works great.
Also, I was wondering if there's any possibility to enable the pressure sensitivity on the L2 and R2 buttons.
If I'm asking questions that have already been answered, I apologize.
Edit: I got it to work after reading some responses from other users. I uninstalled everything, downloaded the new version and updated it completely. Installed it. Runs perfectly fine. I also disabled Windows ability to automatically update my drivers. Thanks MyaThaBee. Bluetooth synced up perfectly!
I need help getting a BT dongle to work. It's the Asus BT400. Hardware ID is USB\VID_0B05&PID_17CB
The BT driver doesn't install when using SCPDriver.exe
The controller works normally when it's plugged into USB, but I'd like BT functionality.
Please help.
EDIT: sorry, just re-read the first post with the link to post about using zadig to install drivers. Thank very much for the awesome work!
This program works GREAT, but I cannot get it to connect to my bluetooth adapter....Dude I have tried EVERYTHING and it refuses to connect.
The hardware Ids for my ''Broadcam BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 USB'' is
Quote:USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8&REV_0112
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8
I noticed no program has these ID's...(Especially motioninjoy..ew) Please for the love of god add these!
Thank you.
edit: Well I tried the Zadig.exe tool and that didn't work either...I am at a complete loss here
edit2: WTF..after installing and reinstalling a million times it finally worked!
For anyone that has these issues this is what I had to do.
1.Go to Device and printers,Right click your computer and select ''Device installation settings''.
2.Select ''No,let me choose what to do'' and ''Never install driver software from windows update''.
3.Install Xinput Wrapper as you normally would and it should work''
This is much better than Motioninjoy! Thanks for making it! Finally I can get that malware off of my system.
One problem though, how am I supposed to disconnect the controller without it automatically turning on my PS3? That's a real bother since it's in the other room.
I should state for the record I'm using the charger cable and not BT. There was a disconnect button for Motioninjoy which made it so that it properly disconnected without issue, but when I tried to disconnect it like one would a thumb drive, it went off and made the sound, then when I unplugged it, it turned on my PS3 and brought up some error on Windows.
EDIT: I figured it out! If anyone else is having this problem on a PS3 controller, hold L1, R1, and the PS Button for about 3 seconds until it makes the disconnect sound and you'll be good to unplug it.
Has anyone noticed any in-game lag/bogging when using this? I just verified that I indeed am (swapped back to my old corded controller = no lag):
Win7
latest XIW version 1.1.0.136
Standard DS3 controller
KINIVO BTD-400 Bluetooth USB Adapter
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
I'm noticing some pretty bad lagging/game bogging when I use this setup. Is there a way to better configure any of this to cure this problem? I love having my bluetooth controller, and would love to keep it this way, but this lagging is game-breaking. It's pretty bad in large areas, and I have this game set to the LOWEST quality with a GTX 650. Could it be that this program eats resources? Thanks for any tips/help!
I have another question. Can Windows have 2 BT adapters plugged in - one connected to the controller and another connected to keyboard/phone/etc? In other words, can I have the proper BT drivers for the 2nd dongle, and the controller drivers for the first?

I have 3 BT adapters: one for my mouse, keyboard, and now my PS3 controller. They all work fine
Hi,
everything worked fine for me, except the bt connection to the ds3.

But maybe i just dont get how to connect wireless properly.
thanks in advance.
How do i repair a controller back to the ps3?
