Word to the wise:
When you install be sure to open ScpDriver.exe by right clicking and using "Run as Administrator"
On windows 8.1pro x64 (w/ media center) the Scp service doesn't install without choosing "Run as Administrator" (tested on 2 systems, one was a fresh install). If the service doesn't install you will be required to run ScpServer.exe for all eternity
. Right-click -> "Run as Administrator" -> install on ScpDriver.exe will fix this.
Anyone missing a MSVCR120.dll needs to install the visual C 2013 redistributable package. You can find it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...x?id=40784
I don't think you will need to reinstall scpdriver.exe (but i'm not positive)
I've followed the steps made sure I was running as admin have xbox drivers, I have all the requirements I did everything double checked and triple checked +++++++ the steps there is nothing I can do to make my PC see this controller. scpmonitor doesn't register anything, there's no gaming controller options in device manager. NOTHING. this is stressing me out. I'm running win 7 ultimate and all this ***** unit is doing is causing me problems. I bought it to use as a gaming PC and i'm useless with a keyboard and mouse. like I HAVE to make my ps2 or ps3 controller work.
I can't access motion in joy I get a 504 and 502 error. site must be down. I'm desperate to get a PS controller working on this PC. I have this nexxtec sector 7 PS2-USB adapter but it is an unknown device, and will not work, and I can't find drivers for it. I don't know what to do.

Does the ScpServer detect anything if you start it manually? What does the driver installer log say?
Can I remove the "PS3 controller" device after having installed this and/or prevent the "eject device" thingy appearing for it? How?

Does your windows detect when you connect your ps3 gamepad? It should install its own drivers before you install ScpDrivers.
Firstly, your program works very nice, very user friendly and easy to use.
My problem is i got my 2 ds3 controllers work with usb perfectly. I dont even open the monitor app to use them, just hit the ps button. But they dont pair with bluetooth. I have 2.1+EDR adaptor included in my laptop(win7 home premium x64). Monitor app shows the hosts information after installing the drivers. When i unplug the controller it says reserved next to mac adress of controller. Then nothing happens, my controller doesnt connect with bluetooth and i cant use them. I'm trying for 2 days but nothing changed. How can i solve this.?Thank you.
Hi, I'm having the same problem as orhuntas above me. I hope this can be rectified soon, I'd much rather be playing wirelessly than with a wire!
Hello everyone!
I am in need of assistance with the SCP DS3 program. I've been trying to configure this program for hours and for days. I gave up a couple times and kept coming back to try again and again but to no avail. This is my absolute last resort since I can't seem to get the controller to work on my own.
Let me start first by saying that I initially started using motioninjoy. It really was nonsense and gave me countless bluescreens. Moving on, when I initially downloaded the program and attempted to install the drivers, it actually bluescreened midway of installing the SCP driver which upon endless searches in this thread shows some users reporting similar and exact bluescreen errors. I understand that it is necessary to uninstall motioninjoy completely first before installing SCP which I did. I also made sure that the driver for motioninjoy was no longer listed in Device Manager which it wasn't. I was somehow able to install the program and drivers without any bluescreens on some installations but not all.
Once I updated it to the latest version .175, SCPMonitor shows Pad 1 charged and seemingly working. I was excited. I also saw that the host address was disconnected which I understood to be the connection information for bluetooth which is okay since I want it to at least work on USB. Upon starting a random game with controller support, none of the buttons would register or work. It was at this point that I started to look at the various other programs that are included in this software bundle such as SCPServer which shows Pad 1: Disconnected. I've went and checked that the SCP DS3 service was enabled and working which it was. On the controller itself, there is a red light on the number 1 and it does not blink. I went into the folder "Win64" for the program SCPUser which actually shows and registers my controller inputs fully and completely.
I'm at a complete loss as to what is going on or what else I can do. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Is your adapter a dongle (connected via USB)? Built in Bluetooth adapters don't work. You need a dongle.
If it is a dongle can you provide more info, such as the install log and whether or not it is picked up by scpserver.exe (it would have an address for "host") additionally a pic of the device properties in device manager would help.

I used motioninjoy and as I recall special steps need to be taken to remove the drivers properly. Did you remove the drivers using motion in joy and THEN delete them from device manager before uninstalling motioninjoy? If not that is almost certainly your issue. The same spot in the program that allows you to choose the device to install to allows you to remove the driver (and config files that will continue to screw with you indefinitely until removed via the program)
If you did first remove the drivers via motion in joy did you restart your computer and verify that it connects with the regular drivers? If not be sure to uninstall scp, restart your computer, make sure they connect as per usual (just registered in device manager, not functioning). Then reinstall.
If none of that works make sure you have all the dependencies installed (see the first post)
If none of the above helps or if you have already tried all of the above please reply with the install log and a screenshot of the device properties (found in device manager) for the controller and I'll see what I can do to help.

I guess you're right because i have built-in dongle. İt says widcomm2.1+edr bluetooth in device mnager. But in scpserver it says host disconnected even if it shows my adapter in monitor. I'll get a new one and try again, thanks.
edit : but i've seen people work it with built-in bluetooth. it actually confuses me.
