Could a mod or op include a little instruction on restarting services in the op-post?
I see so many people going through the hassle of restarting their PCs to simply reinitialize the service and there are even dumb tuts makers on YT who teach their viewers to completely re-install the drivers in order to, again, perform the simplest service reinitialization.

This desperately needs a readme on how to fix some common problems.
I think I could write one real quick (but I can't add top the OP because I'm not mod) but I need a compilation of problems and their solutions (PM me, preferably).

It sounds as if your Bluetooth onboard/dongle does not support EDR.
In SCP Monitor to the right of BTH, are the numbers increasing when synced via Bluetooth?
I had the very same issue with an old Bluetooth dongle I had.
I bought a new very cheap Bluetooth V2.0+EDR and it works superb.

of my Dell Inspiron 14R but after a restart, it doesn't work anymore. It only works again after I install the Dell/Win drivers again and then reinstall the SCP drivers to overwrite that.
So, any kind solution for built in bluetooth drivers so that they will work permanently with installing only once? This is pretty urgent for me as my DS3's usb port is loose and it disconnects consistently.
I had a similar problem

My fix is to run a batch file with Windows Task Scheduler on every boot.
How to create the batch file

Hope this helps

No they not.
But, i'm able to use full buttons on my DS4 with stock bluetooth driver
Thanks for fast replay
Is it possible to re-map the PS button? I have no need for the worthless Xbox popup and I appreciated having a profile switch button to use with Xpadder when I used the otherwise-awful MIJ drivers.
Searched a bit but couldn't find anything...

For a start you can get rid of that popup by opening Task Manager and killing the task "XBoxStat.exe".
Then navigate to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories\" and rename XBoxStat.exe to something like XboxStat.exe.old (or delete it).
That will get rid of the popup.
Then Google a utility called "GuideCall".
You will find a utility that was designed mainly for using the Guide(PS) button for launching XBMC. But it also has a couple of other possible remapping options also.
I tried XPadder. But it doesn't appear to respond to that button.
Having trouble getting my DS3 to connect wirelessly. It works flawlessly when connected via USB, but when I take the cable out, it doesn't pair with my bluetooth dongle. The Zadig driver replacement method didn't fix it. The default hardware value is USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_1989. Any ideas as to what I should do? I've tried using force install, but that doesn't work either.
