First of all, update your graphics plugin to zzogl pg 0.1.0 from the downloads page at http://pcsx2mac.net/files/ZZOglPG.0.1.0.dmg
Click on the icon in the dmg, open with pcsx2, and you should see the graphics plugin in the config menu. Make sure "no logarithmic z" is enabled.

I haven't played ffx but this guy posted these settings which appear to work great with the ff series: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-FFXII-Bes...#pid164681

As for full screen, there is no "true" fullscreen but if you go to the x11 preferences and check "run in fullscreen", all of the PCSX2 windows will appear in a black space. Then, choose your exact screen resolution from the pcsx2 graphics config and that's as close as you'll get for fullscreen.
Mate! Thx a lot, my graphics look awesome!
Could get it working at 60fps always..
but, still got the problem of the white screen, any idea about that?

And thx again!
Yes, it's a problem with pcsx2 0.9.6. It can only be averted with a savestate of the game that is saved at a later location.

look here for savestates

FFX:

Here's a guide on how to convert these saves to a memcard (I think you need a windows pc though): http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-GameFAQ-S...emoryCards

Or just search the pc section of the forum for a save, it should work with mac.

EDIT: Just found the memcard section here: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Post-your...tes-thread
That's probably your best bet.

I'm not 100% sure, but I recall reading somewhere that FFX runs at 50FPS instead of a normal 60FPS. And my game usually runs fine at 50FPS, until the random freezes Sad

This game works at 50FPS not at 60FPS...

going to try them, ill update this after.
thanks
flurgle thanks for your help...
But i made a turn around:

- in boot camp (windows) played the "white screen" part
- saved into mem card
- copy mem card
- pasted it into PCSX2/Contents/Resources/PCSX2/Memcard/
- run it on mac os X

it worked, but i gotta run the "white screen" parts on windows, anyway, ill just hope that it doesn't happen again xD
Way to fix it! But wait... If you bootcamped your computer why not just use the PC version of pcsx2?
yeah lol. i can see using parallels or vmware to run pcsx2 just to make the saves (as running 2 OS at once will not give you good performance at all) and then saving after the intro scene (and any other spot it errors up).

also i have played ffx at 60 before, it all depends on PAL vs NTSC as PAL (europe) runs at 50fps and NTFS (North America) at 60. Thats how the systems themselves ran. So PAL games run natively at 50fps and NTSC at 60fps.
