Hi. New to the forum. Smile
I just DLed the newest version of the emu and tried to run a copy of Silent Hill 2. When I try to start the emulation it says it can't find the BIOS. I've got the SCPH-70012_BIOS_V12_USA_200.bin

Is that wrong or is it just not finding it?

EDIT: Found the guide and thanks to FreeMcBoot and ULaunchELF I dumped my 30001 bios to my Pen Drive.

EDIT: I put the dumped files in the bios folder but it still can't find them. What gives?
Try extracting the p2b file with 7zip or winrar then placing the extracted files in the folder

I didn't get a p2b file. Just 3 files. SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.EROM, SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.NVM, & a SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.ROM2
Huh you're missing the actual .bin file that is the binary of the bios... so I guess something went wrong with the dump

The MASSDUMP.elf file was in PAL mode. How would I switch it to NTSC?

Don't think you can change that...try downloading this file: http://pcsx2.net/files/25904

First try the ps2dumper.elf and if that fails the dumpbios-mass.elf

The ps2dumper.elf file said waiting for usb device and never did anything else.

the dumpbios-mass.elf was in PAL mode but I just waited until the light in my Pen Drive quit blinking (indicating that it was done) When I waited a good minute I unplugged it from the PS2 and plugged it into my Linux box. It spit out:
SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.BIN
SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.EROM
SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.NVM
SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.ROM1
SCPH-30001 R_BIOS_V4_USA_160.ROM2

Now it should work right?

EDIT: Just put the files in the bin folder. Now it works. Thanks for your expertise.
Yep it should work

You need these files:
SCPH-*****_BIOS_V4_USA_160.BIN
SCPH-*****_BIOS_V4_USA_160.EROM
SCPH-*****_BIOS_V4_USA_160.NVM
SCPH-*****_BIOS_V4_USA_160.ROM1
SCPH-*****_BIOS_V4_USA_160.ROM2

The stars indicate your PS2's model number.
