Hello;
Config >> Video >> Plugin Settings >> Renderer
If I set renderer on "Hardware" mode, I'll have problems in Silent Hill Shattered Memories and Silent Hill Origins in darkness, I just can see around when I set my flashlight toward that point;
In other words, I can't see anywhere except where I point my flashlight, anywhere else is fully-black.
And if I set Renderer on "Software" mode, I'll have performance and graphic problems.

it's been discussed many times, and yes, it works only in software mode.
I do have this game, and I run it full speed using software mode

Have you tried skipdraw? I know that fixes the flashlight performance issues.
