Hey guys,

we recently found out that certain ATI hardware has problems with a feature GSdx needs.
We want to know which hardware is affected and if it can be fixed by using newer drivers.

Pseudonym coded a simple tool that tells you if your hardware has the bug or not.
Please run the attached .exe and report back whether it says "Pass" or "Fail".
Also include your GPU model and the driver version.

Thanks for helping Smile

EDIT: also I got a pass (but I am not using a ATI card so that figures Tongue)
whats the bug Rama

The broken point sampling?
HD 6310 (e-350 APU)
Catalyst 12.7 beta (2012-06-28)
PASS
We don't really need this info btw, testing by pci id and driver version (which I can't even see how to get) is nasty. It's more of a curiosity thing.

HD 4770 Catalyst 11.8
FAIL
Yes, it's the broken point sampling. The point of this exercise is to see how limited the problem is.
Let's all hope it's very rare Wink

miseru99:
I don't suppose you would install the 11.8 driver version and test that? Tongue2
;P I'm on the awfully slow net from the phone for a few more days, not into downloading, but I still had 11.6 install, if it was something fixed by new driver, then should still be bugged on that one I guess.
HD5670
Catalyst 11.6
PASS

no change of the older driver for me
HD4850
Cat 12.6 Legacy
FAIL

:'(
Well, newer drivers won't necessarily mean the bug is fixed. It could have been broken in a newer version and then fixed again.
