I've followed the starter guide and youtube videos but no matter what i do every time i boot the game it goes to the native resolution.

What to do

right click-Run as admin pcsx2.exe

ok, first off. it's 1080p..

2nd, that's internal. the UI is only going to be as big as you make it, but you can hit ALT + ENTER to make it full screen

so is there no upscaling on the games, do the games just stay on the native resolution and get stretched out to 1080p.

do u mean the window's size?
if yes u can find it in "emulation settings->gs window->custom window size"
