Okay first of all hello to all of you.
I am trying to run Budokai 3 but i get around 10-20 fps in game.
My system is:
Proccesor:Amd Athlon 64 3200+
Memory:1GB
Video Card:Ati Radeon X1650 -512 Mb
So i want to update from Amd Athlon 64 3200+ TO AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ BOX thats the best i can get because i need socket 939 Laugh is it worthy?!
Thx.
Nope, it would only be a bit faster.
To get this game to full speed you basically need a new pc Tongue2
besides 939 isn't produced anymore XD
for the same price you could probably get am2+ cpu & mainboard XD
maybe very cheap ram too
Okay then should i go for Intel or Amd?
if you have enough money
buy intels new i7 but it's expensive (you'll need the mainboard and ddr3 ram)

one of the cheaper rigs would be a new am2+ mainboard with a phenom II 920 or 940 (be careful intel has the similar names) am2+ needs only ddr2 ram so it's a lot cheaper XD

but if you ONLY want to play pcsx2 on the pc otherwise use it for work and not for gaming i'd buy an intel core2duo dualcore E8400 or something like that ^^ and a LGA775 mainboard with ddr2 ram that's cheap and powerful

since you already have an ATI card I'd probably buy the phenomII but that's just me
Yeah i suggest you for phenomII 940BE and overclock to 3.5-3.6ghz with stock volt, just change multiplayer, cheap MB can support it and cheap ram ddr2 800. If you go with intel, you need good ram to have a high OC or you will be disappointed.
Are the SSE4 extensions noticable upgrade? I have an E6750 @ 3.2 GHz, will E8400 @ 3.2 GHz (ofc more, but ... Tongue2) be a noticable upgrade?
SSE4.1 can have little gain for fps around 1fps or 2fps.
SSE4.1 isn't the main reason, you can easily OC your Intel CPU to get more speed in pcsx ( it's harder if you're using AMD )
Right now the best choice is E8500 (ot E8600 if you have lot of money). Cheap i7 is 2.66HHz, and i7 and C2 have not noticeable difference per core at same clocks.
