Hi,

First time user, have read through the config guide and still stumped on what I can do to fix this problem.

Basically I have an ISO of Gran Turismo 4, game loads up, all fine, loads nice and fast and menus appear to be working fine. Smooth as anything, soon as I enter a race...

First problem is the sound is all weird, breaks up, then the countdown 3,2,1 for the race, it freezes on 1 and then fixed, then it goes back to being smooth then once you accelerate, 5 seconds in it start to run in slow motion with the same weird sounds. The FPS drops consistently from 90 to around 10.

Then when you go back to the menus, it's carried over until you go back to the main menu before enter Gran Turismo mode.

Any ideas?

Sapphire 7870XT Boost

PCSX 1.0.0

All settings default

Only game is Gran Turismo 4.
you'll need to use some speedhacks.
AFAIK, this game benefits greatly from MTVU hack, but since you only have 2 cores, I guess that won't be enough...
Didn't help, anything else I can do?

Like the game is perfectly playable because after the initial 10-15 seconds of racing its 100% working but then the sounds is all screwy in the menus lol.

As long as there is no corner within the first 15 seconds it is normally ok, is this caused by my pc specs?
set EE Cyclerate 2,VU Cycle Stealing 1 and in gsdx tick native resolution

Like a boss, still get a little tiny bit of lag on the after race screen but take off, everything is more playable...besides the resolution Laugh.
Try use custom res 480x320 .this is lowest res. graphic isn't good but you may gain speed Smile

He has a 7870XT! The problem clearly it's not the GPU, he can play at 3x native without any problem (excluded the CPU obviously), I play GT4 with a 7850 at 3x native.
