Is there anyway to set one location for the output console to always open at? I like having my console open on the left hand side of the screen so that i can still see what savestate is being used while still being able to play the game without being distracted by most of the moving text from the output.

yes, just right click on the console then click properties, uncheck "Let system position window", then you can put the position where you want it to appear in the last 2 textboxes and when you click ok, check the second option.
