Will the newer version of psx2 improve the speed of the ps2 games like gta lcs and let us run those 3d games on lower system specs like on Pentium 4 processors ?

The answer is no. As emulation improves, the requirements for pcsx2 should increase, so there is no hope for obsolote CPUs such as the Pentium 4.

Someone must be a sucker for pain to even try in P4.

Most probably no. Read the stickies and check the minimum system requirements. I will take this as a "will PCSX2 work on X in the future" thread,so I will close it now.
