Hi,

I try to play Dragon Quest VIII pal ( multi5 ) in french with PCSX2, but game is in english

my bios is EU and i have set french language in bios config pcsx2

this game should work in french because its a multilanguage version, but there is no options in game to choose language

Use boot CDVD (full) so the game starts through the BIOS.

please post your emulog.txt when you run the game

this worked thx, is there any way to config language when i want to use fast boot ?

nope.
seems to be defined by the bios for this game.

I'm not sure how fast boot works but...

What about a fast boot the fully runs the bios but doesn't display the graphics and runs without any frame limitation?

Or is that what fast boot is? But that would not make sense in this case.

it basically skips the bios veification.
that's why pcsx2 is region free (as long as you use fast boot)
