Been trying to google around some audio issues and solutions, so far have come up with nothing.

For the game Yakuza, all forms of 'movies', the introduction and in-game movie cut-scenes the audio stops and produces static noise. When movies, end the audio is fine through all cut-scenes and playing.

Though may be unrelated, it only happens for this particular game, none of my other games are like this. Will try to re-rip the .iso from the disc again and update if that fixes the problem.

My Laptop Specs:
Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.30GHz ~ 3.10GHz
8192MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

PCSX2 Config
1.1.0.5766 svn
GSdx 5752 MSVC 16.00, SSE41 0.1.16
SPU2-X r5733 2.00
Emulation settings are default, and disabled Speed Hacks

According to compatibility there is no bugs.

Maybe try a different backend than XAudio2 in the plugin settings? Like Dsound?

Definitely try a rerip.

I have tried different backends, unfortunately to no avail. Some reason, when I re-rip my Yakuza CD, the file is getting corrupted. :/ frustrating >.>. Will keep trying, though is there a possibility that something else is affecting the audio, not just the audio plug-in?

Is the disc scratched?

It isn't :/. I think I'm going to try a diff program to rip it.

Also, is it possible the laser lens in your CDVD drive is dirty?

I would hope not. Such a pain to clean out laptops.

If it's a laptop drive where you can see the lens when you open it, just open the drive. Get a cotton swab and dip it in some isopropyl alcohol. Swab around the lens a bit, then turn the swab over and dry it off. Give it a couple minutes to dry. That's all you gotta do.

Hmm, I'll give that a shot thanks. I've managed to make a clean rip of Yakuza. Does not seem to be a problem with the .iso file. This is depressing~ :/

Just a few random things to try:

Set audio to Async mix.

Increase the latency.

Change the interpolation.

Try ZeroSPU2
