Does pcsx2 use the cpu or gpu because I just ordered a intel core 2 quad from amazon to replace my intel pentium e5400.

Both, but it really depends on the game.

I really hope that list is right I want to play gran turismo because my gpu is atleast 5 yrs old lol. I have an Nvidia Geforce 9600 GSO Verto 768MB.

will be better if you don't go past native resolution.
you'll probably encounter some slowdowns, though.

Get the GTX 570 and you will be good to go .
