Hello again guys,

I'm trying to play SvR2011 but it's nowhere close to where I was expecting it to be. It is unplayable and I don't understand why. I actually recorded it just so you can see how bad it is:

Here's my setup:

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit
i7-3520M CPU @ 2.90GHz processor
4GB Ram DDR3
nVidia GeForce GT 630M 2GB

It is indeed a laptop, and I'm aware that the Videocard isn't the best, but even with that I would expect the game to work a bit faster than this. Even the first part where it's loading the bios is lagged out. I've tried multiple setups, but none of the ones I tried seemed to work for me, so I've reset everything back to default, and am willing to take any advice you guys would have for me.

Laptops are generally not optimal. The best you can do is:

Make sure your power plan is on High Performance.
Enable MTVU speedhack
Try EE slider speedhack

VU cycle stealing generally causes "fake" FPS readings, except in a few games. So if those things don't help you, there is not much you can do.

It's a dual core. I don't think MTVU will help much.

but it has hyperthreading... not as good as a real core but still better than nothing.

(actually MTVU helps even on my DualCore in FFXII - don't ask me why. Maybe one of my cores is sometimes idling...)

Yeah based on what I've been reading, MTVU on a dual core with HT does provide some benefit. Not as much as a full core, but some.

I'm not sure what happened, I didn't change anything I just figured that if SvR2011 doesn't work, I'd try older versions, so I tried 2010 and 2009 and they worked fine, after which I tried 2011 again and that worked fine too - although I made no changes. I guess it was still adapting to my PC? No idea, bottom line is it works great and I have no issues with it anymore.
