Hello everybody,

My question is what's so special about the Ratchet & Clank series that the graphics of 3D objects get corrupted, while in other games they are just fine?

My second question is -- when do you think the team working on PCSX2 (a wonderful project!) will be able to overcome this problem? Because, having to switch to software mode in order to work around the corruption really molests my fps...

Thanks in advance!
It's unlikely to be fixed anytime soon, the way GSDX is built makes the feature that game needs impossible in hardware mode, this is why it has only been implemented in software mode.

Aww, that's a real shame, as those are some of my favorite games.
Thanks for the info, though.

They are still fully playable in software mode with a decent pc.
It requires a bit more than a decent pc Donovan.

Depends what you term as decent.
About what I have barely cuts it.

Ah I see.

What qualifies as a decent pc? My friend has a fx-9590, is it powerful enough to run the games sufficiently fast on software mode?
Yes, that cpu would be plenty fast for games in SW mode including Ratchet and Clank.
