I'm not sure if this thread will help solve the issue or not.

Both Spy Hunter and Thrillville are games that I was able to play smoothly before. Now I can't run these games at all, I can only get to the menus.

When I was able to run Spy Hunter, I posted on the wiki:

As you can see, the last time I was able to run the games were on r5350.

My guess is that I had a cheat/hack that let me play the games before.

Is either Spy Hunter or Thrillville running for anyone else?

Edit: I should also add that even after going back to r5350, I was not able to run the games.

can you try running those games under latest pcsx2 using the gsdx plugin provided with r5350 ?

Well Spy Hunter still runs the same, when I select a game the level loads and then very slowly generates the level but never advances.

Thrillville seems to work... I tried running it on the latest GSDx plugin and it still works. I have no idea why it wasn't working for me the past week.
