Which version of game work faster on pcsx2: PAL or NTSC? I have NTSC game so i need 60fps. I read that PAL need only 50fps to full speed so i think that PAL be run faster, right?
PAL is higher resolution though, so it needs more power to get that constant 50 FPS vs NTSC at 50 FPS. I'm not sure what the actual performance differences are between them, but you have to use games you own legally anyway, so use whichever one your PS2 supports.
Most PAL games run worse than their NTSC counterpart because they are crappy ports.

But you do not own both version and I guess won't buy PAL version if you already own the NTSC ones. So this question is kind of pointless. Play the version you already own.
I bought an asian (jap) copy of a PSP game I owned in region 1 (US) so I wouldn't put it past anyone
Yup, i don't buy second ps2 only for pal games Tongue , but i ask question because i want only know difference on pcsx2 in this two version of games.
Thx for answer.
...so far in my opinion, it doesn't matter wich you have, is it NTSC or PAL, ...I'ts all up to your CPU!

Cheers...
Few games are PAL original. Therefore, we're dealing with mostly conversions. If they're fine, at most you'll get 50fps instead of 60fps, which feels uneven and wrong for some people (on 60Hz computers screens).

However, sometimes they screw up other things on the conversion.

I just avoid EU altogether and go for US or JP games.
I knew that was gonna come up sooner or later. yes, use what you have indeed, but if you're that courious, import something and see.
I really want to know what are the "internal / technical" differences between PAL and NTSC games in emulation (the obvious is PAL runs at 50fps and NTSC runs at 60fps, but that's all I know), because some games have bugs only in one version (like Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 3 PAL, have part of the screen with a brightness, using latest, also happens in older, PCSX2 at default and using GSDX 1.14, only in DX10, but in DX9 the game is Dark like the hell, and has flikering in both version). This is a PAL bug or an issue with the emulation: the emulator or the plugin; or both of them?.
