I'm trying to play Jak 2 but the slow down in software mode is insane. I would just think my computer can't handle it but I was getting the same issue on Destroy All Humans 2 with like 40-30 FPS. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if its just my computer that's make it lag or if its actually PCSX2. My specs are...

AMD Radeon HD 7850
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad-Core 3.4GHz
16 GB of DDR3 Ram

try setting extra sw rendering threads to 3. this could help

Those are fairly demanding games, especially Jak II. You will need to overclock to have any chance at running those games.
