This is indeed a very peculiar issue. Another SO3 related issue, every now and then, the graphics flicker, zoom in, then zoom back to normal, but almost like a strobe-like effect

Sound disabled since it's not necessary for the report, but if you look at the six-second mark, you can see his face zoom in and out in less than a second. Also happens when on the map, graphics flicker, zoom in, then back to normal and while it doesn't give me a headache, it can get annoying pretty fast.
Is it a the game hacks being automatically applied to the game? I played this a while back and I never had this issue. Maybe it's because I'm not using 1.2.1 but using 1.2.0 r5859 Either way, this shouldn't be happening. It doesn't have to do with the progressive video mode (F5), but I just random flickering/zooming in.
It's very hard to catch but it happens very frequently. If you need another video, let me know, I can capture it easier. Again, when I played it on the same hardware a few months back, I never had this issue, but it could be the version of the plugin I'm using.
Using GSdx 5864 (gsdx32-sse41-r5854) tried the SSSE3, AVX and SSE2 versions of the same plugin revision, no dice.
