I got this new laptop that's got an AMD-A6 in it and was wondering if it could run this Emulator atleast with the recommended specs. Here's a pic of what I have. If I'm missing anything that y'all need to know that would help figure the problem out let me know. http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff46...ements.png

Not very well.
Oh really? Will posting this help or not really needed. http://valid.canardpc.com/1clzcb
Look here: http://cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+A6-6310+APU&id=2290 Under the big 2416, you will see single threaded performance. 841.

For 2d games in PCSX2, you need ~800. So you might play like e.g. Ar tonelico.

Light 3d games need ~1200

Moderate games need ~1500

Heavy games can need 2000+

There are very few AMD cpus that can handle PCSX2. And none that really can without overclocking. Unfortunate I know, but that's how it is. Sorry.
I bet deciding on a good laptop/desktop would be a tough decision on getting this emulator to run smoothly wouldn't it? Especially on a tight budget lol...

While you definitely won't be able to get a good LAPTOP for cheap...

I built my desktop for ~$500 U.S. and with my overclock I can run PCSX2 nicely. And max out modern PC games.

And now, it's even better, because one of our forum members made a guide for building a PCSX2 capable machine on a tight budget:

Around $350, depending on what you go with. $256 if you use iGPU.

Is that accurate? I seen many "heavy" games use up 3 cores easily. That's having a 3rd gen intel at 4.2ghz
Core usage is never 100% because of each chip having to be in sync with one another. 3 slow cores is worse than 2 moderately fast cores for that reason.

Based on my testing it is.

Example of light 3d game: FFX

Example of moderate 3d game: Rogue Galaxy (needs about 1600 actually).

Example of heavy game: Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (Needs software mode. i5s with ~1900 STP will have some slowdown even with speedhack)

Example of brutal game: Snowblind engine games.

When how do you explain my 3 cores getting fully used then?
