When I load up MGS3 there are slight graphical issues that can be seen in the provided screenshot. These include strange shading and lighting errors and the game just looks overall dull. I messed around with the settings and the only way I saw to make this go away is to switch to software rendering, but then the game just runs slow. If any info is needed I'd be happy to provide.

Press F9 to go into the software renderer and fix the dark spots.
Unfortunately, that cpu won't cut it in software mode.
I don't think this can be solved in hw mode though

Ah, okay thanks anyway. Guess I'll just have to go with it.
Set +3 extra rendering threads to get a performance boost in software mode.
This is a known graphical glitch. There's no fix other than software mode.
If i'm correct, it only happens in forest areas so it should correct itself in all other cases.
