I've tried countless builds, isos, and settings (only NTSC, not PAL) and very often when one of the characters talk whereas it's in battle or just normal dialogue, the voice will hang and loop the sound where it hanged until I press X to change the dialogue. Also, voices tend to cut off randomly and never finish the dialogue.

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem? The game's really unplayable like this, it's just to annoying.. especially when something serious is being said.

Edit:
I've tried all kinds of settings already but here's my current settings, if a setting is unlisted I've not touched it or it's default. Also I'm using ISO(s).

Oh this is a good one.
We had issues like these before but thought we fixed it.
Where exactly do the voices hang? Do I need a memory card save to get there?
Edited my post.

It happens almost anywhere but the start of the game (It actually could hang even at the start and I just got lucky), I'm only two hours in but around an hour in is when it started.
So I played for around 30 mins recording, trying to reproduce the problem.. and it happened again right before I was going to stop recording.

At 1:10 was just my computer being dumb with fraps, but you will notice what I'm talking about before that.

I didn't feel like uploading it to YouTube or anywhere else, so I uploaded it to this site.. https://vid.me/tHKz
Can you post the emulog?

Is MTVU enabled?
Speedhacks are disabled entirely. Also I tried the PAL version earlier and it worked better overall, the bgm in combat is louder which is much better and I've had no problems with the voice so far and I'm an hour in. Maybe there is just something wrong with NTSC? I tried multiple NTSC versions and had the same problem with all of them, this was the first time trying PAL.
I can check it out as I do have the game but I wont be able to play for an hour or so to get where you are because...well...you know.

Send me the ntsc save. I will test it as soon as you send it. I will report back to see what I get Smile

Here's a save-state (state 0), I saved right when the voice randomly hanged, this is around 10 minutes before where I'm at but time really doesn't matter, it tends to happen very often but randomly. If you play for around 15-20 minutes it definitely will happen.

Mediafire

EDIT: Also, I'm just going to use PAL since it has no problems at all so far but I guess this was worth posting anyways.
I would need a normal save. Wouldn't a savestate just do the same thing that yours is doing?

Either way I will test this soon and post my results
