hi im new to the ps2 emu scene and im having issues with magna carta it works fine ( a bit laggy and sound issues) but if I try and use the cheats ive found for it the game crashes right after the logos please help me

post the content of your pnach file. might be some bad codes.

lol not a laptop an all in one desktop actually but thank you guys I got it figured out now if anyone knows how to kill the severe lag while in valley of whatever that'd be great slowed all the way down to .85 fps ugh

Quite easy.
Get a decent CPU and the lag will disappear.
