Does anyone know the best setting for sound for gran turismo 4? (like the plugin, etc.)

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Are you even getting lag? This isn't even remotely descriptive. It's barely on the bad edge of vague.

Either way, GT4 is demanding as hell. Specs will be needed here.

you can take screenshots of the pcsx2 settings by pressing the bottom left icon.

Either you attach it to your post (while you are doing a full reply) or you upload it to an image hoster (as imgur) and link it using the img-tag.

Either under My documents\pcsx2\logs (full installer) or in the pcsx2-directory (portable/developement version)

Quite a good CPU, but only a dual core...
That may be a little problem for this game. You a should be good with 3*native res and a few speedhacks.
Use only the recommended ones for a start.
Emulog is in mydocs\pcsx2\logs
