I'm playing Grandia 3 and having serious fps issues once it gets to the second cutscene my specs are

Windows Vista 64 bit
AMD Phenom™ 9550 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
7gb ram
ATI Radeon HD 3450

Is there anything I can do to increase my fps without screwing up the sound?

go into config cpu and tick vu skip i had that problem with
devil may cry 2 was only getting 25 fps now get 48 to 50 fps

This distorts the video during the cutscene it shakes and parts of the video are cutout
